Every year Tree of Life Church hosts a Thanksgiving Food Distribution in partnership with the New Braunfels Food Bank, Family Life Center and many other organizations! There are so many ways to be a part of this outreach effort and we invite you to join us!

IMPORTANT INFO: Signing up to volunteer does not equate to receiving food. If you, or someone you know, is in need of food assistance this holiday season, please contact the Family Life Center or New Braunfels Food Bank.

We have three ways you can support this outreach effort:
1) Join us by volunteering on Thursday, November 20th, from 7AM to 1PM as we help distribute boxes of food to families in need this Thanksgiving.

2) If you’d like to give to this year’s Thanksgiving Food Distribution, you can sponsor a Thanksgiving meal kit for $75.00. Please click here to give by selecting “Outreach” as the fund and “Thanksgiving Food Distribution” as the sub fund. Thank you for your generosity as we ensure all families have a warm, delicious meal for this holiday season!

3) We will need your help preparing all of the boxes of food the day beforehand. We anticipate to serve several hundred families and through your time volunteering, we can make sure we are prepared to serve a high volume of cars on our Tree campus. Please consider serving on our Prep Day for the Thanksgiving Food Distribution on Wednesday, November 19th, from 8-10AM!

Follow The Star is a unique production of the life of Jesus that tells, not only the common Nativity story of the birth of Jesus during the Christmas season, but also the story of His suffering, death, and resurrection; scenes not generally displayed in your typical Christmas story.  Because the Nativity of Jesus tells only a piece of the story,

Good Shepherd designed Follow The Star as a gift to our community to tell, “the rest of the story.” 

Follow The Star is a spectacular live outdoor drive-through, walk-through production featuring ten scenes of the life of Jesus: Annunciation, Nativity, Triumphal Entry, Last Supper, Betrayal, Pontius Pilate, Crucifixion, Resurrection, Ascension, ending with our Christmas Present scene with a modern day family reading the Nativity story found in the Gospel of Luke. 

Follow The Star benefits Hill Country Community Ministries, a local food pantry here in Central Texas. HCCM typically receives 60-65% of its food through donations. HCCM needs to purchase food to help continue to provide for families in need. In 2024, HCCM provided food to over 3,000 families per month. Follow The Star is HCCM largest donation of the year as we encourage guests to bring non-perishable food items or make monetary donations to HCCM while at Follow The Star!
